What else is near by? Are there any museums or libraries? Is there a grocery store close enough to walk to?
Lastly, it is important to know what kind of school choices your child has for that location. An independent nearby private school can be great if a parent can afford it. A place like the YMCA that offers classes and lessons for kids on afternoons and weekends can be helpful as well. It is not easy for adults or children to adjust to living in a new city. But if you take the time to make sure your new neighborhood is a good fit for you, the transition will go much more smoothly.
