Start Your Kids with Pre Paid Phones

When your kids reach a certain age (usually around 10 years old, these days), they are going to start wanting to have a cell phone. And you are probably also going to want to give them a cell phone, if for no other reason than it is a great way to be able to reach them wherever they are. Despite the fact that 99 percent of the time they will just use it to text their friends about all of the usual stuff that kids talk about, sometimes you do need to reach your children. This is because every parent who has ever lived has been a little paranoid. However, children are often not responsible enough to handle a regular cell phone, and can use something a little cheaper (and less complicated) instead.

Your children are always going face dangers. Or at least that is what your parental instincts are going to blare at you all of the time, no matter how apparently safe they are. At the slightest provocation, especially when they are young, you are always going to have the shadow of “are the kids okay?” hanging over your head. And while nothing is going to completely allay your fears, having the capacity to reach your kids at any time of the day or night will help.

But of course, kids are very fond of losing things. Even though they are naturally gifted at texting each other every five seconds, they are still probably going to end up losing their first cell phone. This is precisely the reason why prepaid cell phones are the best thing for kids who are not yet up to about high school age (where some degree of responsibility starts to come to mind — if only to keep texting). With a pre paid phone, your kids will not rack up a huge bill to pay.
